Badlands
Out of all the national parks I’ve visited, Badlands is the one I’ve spent the least amount of time in. I came to this part of South Dakota while driving across the country from Pennsylvania to Washington, as I moved to Seattle. My mom and dog were with me, so we could only take a quick detour off the highway and drive through the park, stopping off at a few overlooks to take in the view. Luckily for us, national parks can still be astounding even in small doses.
